Chance of rain in several areas of the Levant on Thursday
The Levant region will be affected, starting Wednesday night and continuing through Thursday, by an air mass that is colder than usual for this time of year, which will significantly lower temperatures and bring back fluctuating spring-like weather to the region despite the approaching summer season.
A colder air mass and increased cloud cover
As the colder air mass moves in, clouds are expected to gradually increase during the night hours of Wednesday and throughout Thursday over large parts of northwestern Syria, Lebanon and northern Palestine, with some clouds extending towards areas of northern Jordan.
Chance of rain in several areas
The chance of rain gradually increases on Thursday, with the rain sometimes being thundery in northern and western Syria , as well as parts of Lebanon and possibly the far north of Palestine .
In other areas, the weather will be characterized by scattered showers, which may include areas of northern Jordan and northern Palestine, in addition to parts of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, as part of the usual weather fluctuations during the spring season.
A noticeable drop in temperatures
Temperatures are expected to drop significantly in various regions, with the Jordanian capital, Amman, expected to record high temperatures of around 20 degrees Celsius, and possibly approaching 19 degrees Celsius in some neighborhoods and high-altitude areas.
Relatively cool weather at night
During the night hours of Wednesday/Thursday and Thursday/Friday , relatively cold weather will prevail in all regions, which calls for a return to wearing coats and warmer clothes, especially during the night and early morning hours, and the temperature will drop to approximately 12 degrees Celsius.
